Lifelong friends Brett and Morten are bonded together through their love of comic books and music, among other hobbies. As podcasters they created the We Talk Podcasts network in 2011, centered at the time around flagship shows We Talk Comics and We Talk Wrestling. Over the past decade the site has grown to include other shows such as We Talk Music, The Stickboy One Fall podcast, Cult Film Showdown,  C of the Dead and is also home to The Fresh Take Network.

As hosts of We Talk Comics they have interviewed several iconic names in the industry, including but not limited to Greg Rucka, Peter David, Riley Rossmo, Robert Venditti, Jae Lee, Bob Layton, Tom DeFalco, David F. Walker, Fiona Staples, Steve Englehart, Gerry Conway, J.M. Dematteis, Dave Sim and many more. This was done to gain insight into the craft of telling a tale in the unique artform that is comic books through pacing, character development, highlighting the visual aspects of storytelling and many other techniques.

Similarly as hosts of the We Talk Music podcast Brett and Mo have talked to Tom Kiefer of Cinderella, Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns, George Lynch of Dokken and Lynch Mobb, Steve Summers and Kristy Majors of Pretty Boy Floyd, Mark Kendall of Great White, Jeff Keith of Tesla, Johnny Gioeli of Hardline, Marq Torien of Bulletboys, Chip Z’Nuff from Enuff Z’Nuff and literally hundreds of more acts. They used this time to get inside the mind of a musician as best they could, trying to understand the inner workings of an 80’s glam metal band, their struggles, triumphs and turmoil. This intense research came to fruition in the Kings Of The Strip graphic novel.

Kahla is an oil painter and music lover from Las Vegas, specializing in traditional portrait techniques blended with pop culture, surrealism, and dark comedy.  Classic album covers that featured paintings rather than photos were a huge inspiration for pursuing an art career, so after completing a BFA at Otis College of Art & Design, she quickly shifted away from the fine art scene and instead began creating album covers and promotional artwork for bands.    Most recently, she painted the covers for L.A. Guns’ last three studio albums (The Missing Peace, The Devil You Know, and Checkered Past).  When not painting portraits of rock icons, a renewed interest in the fine art community has led to a separate body of work based primarily around spooky cats.
