Kings Of The Strip is a 200 plus page graphic novel by the co-founders of the We Talk Podcasts network, Brett Monro and Morten (Mo) Styrishave Kristiansen. Telling the story of the fictional Glam Metal band The Scene, it is a meticulously researched book crafted with loving care over 7 plus years in an attempt to bring to life the most authentic book possible about what it was like to be in a band from the Sunset Strip in the 80’s.

Once The Scene was arguably the biggest rock band in the world. With packed concerts everywhere they went, millions of albums sold and spawning hit after hit it seemed nothing could stop their momentum. Unfortunately internal conflicts and changing musical tastes eventually brought about the band’s fall from the top.

Now, with nostalgia for the band at it’s height, the time has seemingly come for a much anticipated reunion tour. But those old issues that plagued the band before still exist, and they threaten to ruin the comeback before it even begins.

Using the first night of the reunion as a framing story, we visit some of the key moments in the history of The Scene to learn both how they got here, and if there’s any chance for them to ever truly come together again.

This is a slice of life story about chasing your dreams and what happens when you do, it just happens to be a life with more sex, drugs and rock n’ roll.  Kings Of The Strip promises to be the loudest comic you’ll ever read.
